AIB has announced an upcoming roundtable call: “Running and Growing Your Association,” scheduled this spring on Monday, June 17, 2019.
Independent business associations across sectors provide valuable tools and education to their member businesses, but how does an association most effectively grow its membership? How does an association attend to the nuts and bolts of establishing or running an organization, while generating enough value and momentum to grow?
The call will provide a space for members to explore opportunities and challenges related to running and growing independent business associations across sectors. This is an opportunity for associations of all sizes to compare notes and share tips — with topics ranging from funding and membership.
Brief remarks from each participating organization will share best practices and innovations in running an association and keeping members engaged. Building on these presentations, the call will launch a broader discussion about how associations can navigate their own internal operations to best support independent businesses.
By participating in roundtable calls, AIB coalition members have an opportunity to share tips and learn ideas from across sectors that can benefit their organizations and member businesses.
This is the eleventh roundtable call that AIB has organized. Past discussion topics include, “Association Success Stories,” “Attracting and Retaining Members,” and “Best Practices for Member Education.”
